I screwed up repairing an old basilisk essential and want to fix it.

Yes, I could just buy a new mouse, but I want to try to fix this one.

Does anyone know where the traces go for mb1 and mb2 and if I’d be able to use something else to send the signal?

I understand your desire to fix your old Basilisk Essential mouse rather than purchasing a new one. To address your specific query, locating the traces for mb1 and mb2 on the mouse's circuit board might require referring to a technical diagram or the manufacturer's documentation. Unfortunately, without access to that information, it is challenging to provide precise guidance.

Regarding using an alternative method to send the signal, it would depend on the specific damage or issue with the mouse and the available options for repair. Exploring alternative solutions may involve intricate electrical knowledge and expertise in working with circuitry.

I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer's support or seeking assistance from online communities or forums dedicated to mouse modifications and repairs. They may be able to provide more specific guidance based on the exact model and any known issues related to repairing the Basilisk Essential.

Remember to exercise caution when working with electronic devices, ensuring proper safety measures are followed.
