Question

Razer Basilisk V3 Pro - software

geospotSandyBrown941

So I am looking at a mouse, and saw some good reviews on this = Razer Basilisk V3 Pro

BUt I will be using this with my Steam Deck for now connected up to monitor etc, and eventually be used with my gaming PC which is in planning and in the next few months, buying each component.  Returning to PC gaming after years of Xbox and PS console.  So would the Razer software to amend the settings of the mouse, work on the Steam Deck.  I want to get the use of all feature between my Steam Deck and eventually PC… so if I go away on hols or work, and I have my steam deck, up i go, large screen room tv mouse keyboard and game...

Not all features will work on steamdeck.

For eg. you can customize your mouse on PC to assign a keys, build some macro, change DPI and Hz settings - and this will be saved into onboard profile(s) (up to 5 different profiles). But Chroma (lighting settings) are not stored into memory, so it’ll default to spectrum cycle when connected to a different device.

Also Razer software is not available on Steamdeck (which is linux based)… but on the other side it’s still possible to somehow manage some of its settings (via 3rd party app like OpenRazer).

@FiszPL  so saving to the onboard profile, would this then work on the steam deck and maybe the xbox one

Yes, but as mentioned earlier not all functions may work on steam deck / xbox.

When function will be not included into onboard profile, you’ll see information in Synapse “Requires Razer Synapse” like on Razer Naga X example below (it has only 1 onboard profile, so it cannot store macros).

that be ok, as long as I can amend polling rate, DPI lift etc, and save it into the mouse and use that as the main profile I should be ok
