Razer Basilisk v3 won't turn on

I have a wired basilisk v3 that I’ve had for about a year or two and all of the sudden in the past few weeks it will stop working when I either:

  1. Unplug it and plug it back in
  2. Open razer synapse

When the mouse isn’t working, the lights are completely off and, about once every second, it makes a clicking noise, the lights flick on and the cursor can move for about a tenth of a second. I’ve tried moving it to different usb ports and trying it on different computers but they all exhibit the same behavior. Sometimes if I leave it plugged in for long enough it will spontaneously start working again if synapse isn’t open, but it’s so inconsistent I haven’t found any pattern yet.

I haven’t been able to find any answers anywhere else so far so I hope someone here can help me. Thanks ahead of time for anyone that took the time to read my issue!

I have this exact issue! From what I’ve seen, its somehow related to the scroll wheel and potentially the “smart reel” feature. There are so many posts about this issue, and from so long ago I’ve lost all hope Razer will fix the issue! Clearly this problem is common, and is something to do with the garbage software and firmware they push breaking devices, the fact that they have not been forced to do anything about it is criminal!
