Razer Basilisk V4 Pro - Mouse Dock V2 Pro - Stops controlling Cursor until power cycle

I recently purchased a Razer Basilisk V4 Pro and the corresponding Mouse Dock V2 Pro.

I get random disconnects when using the mouse dock V2 Pro. I must cycle power on the mouse or unplug the mouse dock and plug it back in for the mouse to begin working again.

I assumed I received a defective pair, so I went ahead and sent the Razer V4 Pro and Mouse Dock V2 pro back to Amazon and asked for replacements.

I received the replacements today, brand new in the box Basilisk V4 pro and dock v2 pro.

I uninstalled Razer synapse 4 and downloaded a razer driver cleanup program. I made sure all of the Razer Mice and docks were unplugged from my computer etc. Rebooted.

I then installed Synapse 4, prior to plugging in the new basilisk v4 pro and mouse dock v2 pro.

After synapse 4 was installed I restarted my pc just to be safe.

At that point I went ahead and plugged in the mouse dock, watched Synapse as it installed the drivers. Once it was done, I went ahead and turned on the basilisk v4 pro and used a separate Logitech mouse to pair the mouse to the dock.

After all drivers were done installing, I rebooted my PC.

In less than 10 minutes the basilisk V4 pro stopped working. The left and right click work but the curser would not move on my screen. I had to reboot the mouse to get it to move the cursor again. In fact, as I am typing this my mouse quit working again.

I do note that in Synapse 4, even though the mouse has completely stopped working, other than left and right click, both the mouse and dock remain visible in Synapse 4 as if there are no problems. The RGB on both the mouse and the dock remain exactly the same as I had left it. So, everything else pertaining to the mouse seems unaffected other than the mouse is no longer controlling the curser at all until I reboot the mouse or unplug and plug back in the mouse dock v2 pro.

There is clearly something wrong that needs a firmware update as I have experienced the exact same problem with two basilisk V4 pros and mouse dock V2 pros, days apart.

I purchased the Razer Basilisk V4 Pro and Mouse Dock V2 Pro together, and I am extremely disappointed with this combination.

The mouse itself works perfectly with its original USB dongle. However, when connected through the Mouse Dock V2 Pro, it randomly loses functionality. The cursor completely freezes and stops responding to movement, although some mouse buttons may still work.

The only way to restore functionality is to turn the mouse off and on again or physically disconnect and reconnect the dock.

Other users have reported the exact same issues with this combination, so this does not appear to be an isolated case.

The Basilisk V4 Pro is an excellent mouse, but the Mouse Dock V2 Pro makes the entire setup unreliable and practically unusable. An expensive premium accessory should not introduce problems that don't exist when using the original dongle.

I am very dissatisfied with this purchase.
