Razer Deathadder Elite - Sensitivity cycle

Hi, I recently bought the Deathadder Elite(I previously had 2015 chroma), and the new buttons right behind the scroll wheel are acting up. I realized by default they are assigned to cycle between sensitivity so I changed them to scroll left and right. As soon as I turn off Razer Synapse software, they go back to cycling between sensitivity(I even definined the sensitivity stages to keep them from increasing or decreasing it). So I guess when I turn off the software(which I don't want to keep on for no reason because it eats system resources) my settings get reset ? I don't recall this ever being an issue with my older Chroma. Is there a way to keep my settings even when I'm not running Razer Synapse ?
