I just got the Razer Deathadder and i wanted to know whether it is possible to enable the mouse wheel to open links/close tabs when clicking on it...I downloaded the Razer synapse but I couldn't quite find the solution.

The only way to do that is to change the scroll-click function to left-click.

Doesn't work.
Care to elaborate? Were you able to set scroll-click as left-click, but the function didn't take effect or were you unable to change the function of the scroll-click at all?
I obviously did bind my scroll click. Not only windows but any other application doesn't recognize it. Will try on another computer but i bet this is not the case.

It didn't work when I changed the scroll click to left click.. I was able to change it but nothing happened.. The mouse works fine when I score up/down, will probably need to disassemble the mouse and do something about it.

This is the normal behaviour of every mouse when clicking scroll (bind it to scroll click). If you click with scroll on link - it opens a new tab, if you press scroll on tab - it closes it.
If it doesn't work, try on different computer (it will work without synapse), maybe your scroll switch is faulty?

Reset the bind to default then test. If the scroll-click still doesn't work, you may need to resort to an RMA. In any case, please PM me the S/N so I can validate the warranty status and look into other possible solutions.
