Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro scroll wheel issues

My Razer DeatherAdder scroll wheel does not consistently work when scrolling up or down.  When scrolling it bounces around and may go down when scrolling up and vice versa.  It has been doing this for awhile and I have been dealing with it, but thought I would reach out to see if there was a fix.

I performed all the tests, firmware, testing on another computer, using compressed air, etc…

My device should still be under warranty and I do have a video available showcasing the issue (which I am sure Razer is aware of already..)

Thanks!

If still on warranty, then RMA it - looks like broken scroll encoder.

Is there an easy way to start an RMA?  The Razer support page(s) are like a maze and I haven’t been able to start one.

Yes, just submit a ticket here: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/warranty-support/ and clearly describe the issue.

Thanks!

I found out that mine only does that with hyperspeed dongle. Once i plug it with cable it works perfectly. And if i plug it back in to the hyperspeed dongle it keeps working perfectly? I guess it needs to be disconnected and reconnected to the dongle daily :D

man… this is the reason i bought a new mouse. my old mouse (logitech superlight) was exhibiting this same behavior and it was out of warranty. is this a common issues with mice these days? whats going on

I have the same issue. I am a long time Razer customer, but this is slowly turning towards trying other brands. The tip of my scroll finger is already hurting because it is such a mess to scroll with this mouse

Hi guys! Let me join the club. Not even a year passed using this mouse and I’ve got the same scroll issue. That’s so annoying

Warranty? RMA

No warranty - scroll encoder replacement only.

Still under warranty. I’ve just read this topic yesterday, and decided to act, so I reached Razer support with my issue

I’ve also got that issue with my mouse, also less than a year after I started using it
