Razer Naga Pro middle mouse button replacement

I’m just out of limited warranty and the middle mouse button is both multi-clicking but also less sensitive so I need to press it down harder and it will open up like 8 tabs at once. It’s pretty much useless in games as I can’t quickly press it. Its right and left click functions still work for the mouse wheel but the middle click itself is hard to use.

I wasn’t able to find any replacement videos or products. Has anyone attempted fixing this? If so how may I attempt to do so?

The normal left and right click are optical switches if I’m not mistaken so they work flawlessly, however the middle click is mechanical so it’s bound to fail.

I have the same problem.

I have the same issue with mine.. again.

When my previous "died" this way, I bought another one, but about a month ago this has the same issue..

So at this point I think this is a generic issue with this model.

I agree that this seems to be a widespread issue.

For what is worth my drivers were out of date, and while I still get the random double click from a single click this firmware update did seem to help!

It looks like the middle click uses the same buttons that “middle left/right tilt click” uses. To replace those you need to start soldering and that does not seem worth it. Good luck all who find this thread :D

Update on this:

I ended up resoldering the middle mouse click switch and it works like new again. Mine was a bit dirty around the switch too, so I wonder if just cleaning it would have been enough. Wish I did a bit better job testing each step.

I have not easily found a switch replacement for the middle mouse button though so if the actual switch is broken then I don’t know where to get a replacement. If you do open up the mouse to clean it, Amazon does have replacement glide pads so thats nice!

Good luck to all who find this thread :)
