Razer Synapse not detected??

Hi so I made a macro on my razer deathstalker legacy device and I exported it and subsequently imported it into the razer synapse 3.0 program. I was able to link the macro to the button I wanted on my razer viper mouse but i keep getting a message saying "this mapping requires synapse".

This confuses me as I already have synapse open to try to link the macro. I also tried opening razer synapse 2.0 but that didn't seem to help.

Any suggestions?

Hello,
Please post a screenshot of the message. As far as I know - the information "this mapping requires synapse" is only an information, that you can use this macro only on PC with Synapse installed (because for eg. it opens some application), and it's not stored on the onboard memory.

This is the message. That was also my understanding but even though I have both synapses running the macro seems not to be working. The macros are FN + F5 & FN + F7 in order to change my music but it doesn't seem like its working.

Yes, that's only an information, that this macro will be not saved on the mouse memory, so it requires Synapse to fully work.

2nd thing - you can't do FN + some key marcos... this will not work. If you want to change you music you should click on the button you want to rebind, and choose Multimedia tab- then you have ability to bind Volume Up/Down or Next / Previous Track etc.

This is only information, that your bind to this button will be not saved on the on-board memory (so you can't use it without Synapse software). Some specific functions require Synapse running in the background.
