My viper mini

has been working fine for about 6 months but 1 week ago it suddenly stopped working, it doesn't move the pointer but all the buttons work fine, I tried it on another pc and the sensor didn't work either, someone please help me

it seems like there may be an issue with the sensor in your pointing device. It's possible that the sensor has become damaged or faulty, which is why it stopped working suddenly. Since the buttons on the device are still working properly, this suggests that the issue is isolated to the sensor.

You mentioned that you tried the pointing device on another PC and it still didn't work. This further supports the idea that the issue is with the device itself and not with the computer or software you're using.

One thing you could try is checking for any physical damage to the device, such as a loose or broken cable or a damaged sensor. If you don't see any obvious damage, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a repair service to diagnose and fix the issue.

In the meantime, you could also try using a different pointing device to see if that resolves the issue. It's possible that your computer is still functioning normally, but the device itself is no longer working correctly.

I’d just RMA it, looks like problem with the sensor itself.

(Could not find solution). I got the same issue last week. It magically worked again after a few minutes, didn’t do anything to it. But the issue rose again and now the mouse is unusable. Pointing a camera at the sensor should reveal the infrared light for a working mouse, however, it does not show on mine, so obviously it’s the sensor. I tried it on different computers, but still.

same issue ;-;

Yesterday, when I started my PC, the mouse wasn't working. After about 1 or 2 minutes, it suddenly started working and continued to work perfectly throughout. However now no matter which port I plug it into, it's not working. Even after restarting the system, it only has a dim red light on the sensors (I have tested on 2 PCs and both have same issue), Firmeware Updater can’t identidy the mouse & nether the Razer Synapse. ;-; please help someone

Ive got the same exact issue wher it works randomly and then goes off.. another thing I noticed to addition is tht it works for few mins when its been left unused for long.. I might be trippin but yea

I got same problem since yesterday, is it possible with Microsoft crash?? Buttons work properly but the cursor does not move at all

No. But may be other software problem.

I’d connect the mouse to some different PC and check if it’ll work. If yes - then software problem in your PC, if not - HW problem with your mouse.

"Hey Razer community, I'm having an issue with my Razer Viper Mini. After using it for a few minutes, it randomly stops working, although the RGB lights stay on, and there’s no warning of disconnection from my PC. After a while, it starts working again, and the problem repeats. I’m wondering if it could be a cable issue, but I’m not sure. I’ve tried switching USB ports, but it hasn’t helped. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks!"
