Razer viper ultimate side grip wear off

After moderate use of my viper ultimate the side grip started to wear off and created a dent like appearance. Has anyone else have this same problem?

Mine is perfect since year - no wear at all. Saw one similar problem in RVU, but the guy was scraping it with his nails.
