Can someone please recommend a good mouse? I am tired of picking up the mouse three or four times to get my cursor across the screen.

That sounds like a DPI issue that you simply need adjust according to your speed preference.
If you’re still looking for a recommendation I personally use Basilisk at home and DeathAdder at the office. Both are quality mice to use for both gaming and work.

If there’s none - then I’d recommend the most universal and safe choice - DeathAdder V4 Pro - great for gaming, also comfy.
If you’re playing lot of FPS games, you can also look at Viper V4 Pro.
