if you charging through the docks, try cleaning the dock and the viper charging spot with Q-Tips and some alcohol.
if the synapse is not recognize the Viper u need to uninstall the Viper from the Device manager. Once you finish uninstalling the Viper unplug the dongle and restart your PC.
Once you back, plug back in the dongle and wait for Windows and Synapse to install the driver.
No i dont have the dock. The synapse is recognizing the mouse but not that it charges. And my main problem is not the charge. It is that it stops responding

I have a Basilisk Ultimate; once it goes to sleep mode, at random time it just takes about 5 - 10 seconds to respond or to wake up!!.

Just keep moving the mouse and clicking the buttons will eventually wake the mouse up.

I have spoken with few VANs, they say their Viper ULT takes a second to respond. I can see few factors of where the issues lies in.

  • Large load / usage on CPU
  • Mouse sensor is unable to detect the mouse is moving due to the colour of the mouse mat

Try updating the Viper Ultimate's firmware as that might be out of date

  • Fixed an issue where macros will not function when on wired mode
  • Fixed an issue where the keyboard macro will repeat when moving the mouse in wired mode
  • Fixed an issue where there is no response when a button is set to double click in Synapse and on 2.4GHz mode

That is just a summary of fixes in latest firmware, just note that other fixes may be contained within that are undocumented (this is usually the case)
