I've played Real Racing 3, browsed here and there, played some Clash Royale and ClClans games and had no issues so far.

I'm from Bulgaria and the update rolled several hours ago. I was checking manually for update every day, there was no auto update notification.

jerupick666, try to restart the router. I'm writing from wifi connected RP1 device, the update didn't broke the wifi for me.



I try but nothing works, only if I disable the password protection and leave it open, it connects.

In my sister in law house it connect with no problem to their router, but mine only if I open the security.
My router is an Nighthawk RAX40

I think I see some minor issues after updated for 5 days. I will try to see if I could solve them or get consistent repro and report the bugs later this week.

I cant connect to Wifi anymore. Deleted the network on phone, deleted phone on router, restarted both. Nothing helps.


I'm having the same issue after I updated to Pie. I went through troubleshooting with one of their Social Media reps, and nothing helped, even with doing a factory reset on the phone as a last resort.

My CAMERA App just crashes now doesnt open up. Is this a known 9 bug or did the Devs kill the Camera app to fix the game booster?

Sound problems after the update. The phone look like on silent mode, no notification sound no charging sound no touch sound.

Literally this poopy update destroyed my phone. EVER SINCE THE UPDATE, MY APPS CRASH RANDOMLY, BROWSER CRASHES CONSTANTLY. Darn interface is complete junk and hard as heck to use. Never had any these problems except for right after installing this piece of poop update. How the heck do I roll back this update? Its destroying my phone literally.... This is so patehtic.

Agree with this post. My phone doesn't function after this terrible update. Review the update before screwing with everyone's phones. Ticking me off now that all my equipment doesn't pair to the phone and nothing works. I've even had to factory reset the phone cause it went to crap.

Need to rollback this update

You are not alone. I have the same problems but it appeared after 1 week of update. I have sent a letter to support but no response from them. Sometimes it's just unusable. When it appears my temporary fix till next one is, only if you have password, fingerprint .. protection on:
1. Switch screen off
2. Switch back on, quickly put in airplane mode.
After I can use my phone but no reception anymore :mad_::mad_::confused_: becomes a MP3 player.

I upgraded the phone today and after it keeps saying phone is starting ...i waited few hours and nothing changed it keeps freezing every 5 seconds,so i came here and read some posts reseted the phone 10 time finally i could disable the game booster but nothing changed....after few mins the phone locks itself. i cant even unlock it ...nothing literally nothing at all...after a while the screen comes on and stays on ...
It cannot be used at all..any suggestions?
EDIT: nvm sorry about that guys it was my mistake i had a micro sd of 1tb inside....
After i remove the card everything works fine.

@tclow43 watch your language on the forum please.

The camera is crashing due to a bug with do not disturb so if you have that on please switch it off.

Games are working for other members so please either try a redownload of the games or perform a factory reset and try again. If no luck then please contact support for further assistance.

Why the sound is soo low? Can't even hear it when ring wtf. Before had too keep it on midle volume and was perfect. Now on max can't hear it. Any idea?

Another thing, my location services are no longer working properly. As soon as I boot up the phone, the location icon shows for about 2 seconds before disappearing and never coming back.
As for the camera, I found an error after scrolling through thousands lines of code.

I know how the TAP to WAKE and SLEEP work. It used to work fine in 8.1, and after the update to 9, that function no longer works

Please remember everyone that if you have issues to capture a bug report and I can send it on or send it to @Razer.Caziel

These help a serious amount on pinning down issues especially those issues that aren't plaguing every device.

Really sorry so many people are having issues, I plan on changing my daily driver back to the RP1 to help narrow down what's going on.

I guess I've been lucky (and too busy), but I used to do a factory reset after every major update on almost every phone I've used since Windows Mobile 5.0. That includes every Android variant. It usually alleviates any issues before I notice them. I've been lucky this go around and think the only issue I've had is the camera crashing when in Do not disturb mode. I've had no issues with:

  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Wifi connectivity (that was the phone's fault, Did find numerous issues with the APs at work using my RP1)
  • double tap to wake (don't use the sleep part)

Now, the phone still sees my SD card as a 256GB instead of a 128, but apps see the card correctly. And I HATE the way Android 9 broke out the volume tab... Such a pain to 100% mute everything in less that a couple of taps.

Beyond that, and this is my personal opinion, I feel as if some issues mentioned so far, if not most, can probably be fixed with a factory reset, unless Razer has the latest images available for download.

I agree.. I upgraded straight to 9 and besides the DND and the ambient display, I haven't had any of the reported issues.

First step diagnosing problems like this after an update is to factory reset the phone and see if it fixes your problem before installing any apps or changing any settings, it that works, go from there and try to diagnose where the issue occurs if it comes back.

Gamebooster shouldn't be an issue as long as you reset it (within gamebooster) If you don't reset it at least once then it seems to be broken.

Camera seems related to do not disturb mode. simple workaround is to disable do not disturb.

No connection issues here. No clue if the people having issues did a factory reset to see if their issues would be resolved.

is your phone a carrier variant? That could cause an issue.

It's also been refurbished(replaced under warranty), because somehow my notification sound liked to cause my phone to crash (too much power going to the speakers, aging/faulty battery?), So I wonder if that's part of the issue.

What's the build number of the software on it atm? and what carrier?
