How do you know it's Singtel model by looking at build number. How does THREE build number look like?
Three build numbers have "CHK" in them so that's easy to tell. SIngtel however are the only ones with the build number ending in 1136

Please give us information on razer phone 1 pie please

Please give us information on razer phone 1 pie please
By the time it is updated I’d probably have changed phones. Terrible overall support for it :/

I think they're trying to migrate all 1 owners to the 2 with that discount to avoid development for the 1.

Yeah probably

Wish Razer was just a bit more open with their phone plans....the RP1 hasn't had an update in what, 6 months? It's still on last July's security update.

You guys won't believe it but, I checked for an update on my Razer 1 and guess what? No Pie.

Please give us at least pie

Well...I checked for an update on my OG Razer. No sauce.

Sad

Sad
It's not sad, just disgrace! After contracts are finished they lost leftover customers. Myself is one of them

Yeah I'm probably going to get a Google pixel phone for my next one

Apparently whether or not Razer Phone 1 would be updated is still under review. It looks like there are no more updates for this phone moving forward. Even an iPhone would be better at this point, they're still updating hardware from 2015... this phone didn't even last a year.

This is terrible. I'm heartbroken so I guess we should expect the same thing with the RP2 for the next version of Android.

I really hope RP2 would turn out differently. I actually like the phone, bought it the day it was out. I guess the phone industry is too difficult to enter.

I hope so too. I got both of them as soon as they were released. Have thoroughly enjoyed both. There's even some situations where I prefer the RP1. My wife decided to start using the RP1 as her daily driver and she loves it. I'm disappointed I've seen this type of thing happen before but I never thought it would be the case with this phone.

Please update the phone razer

Well if we don't get our RP1 Pie then at least we'll get our toaster. https://vulcanpost.com/662960/razer-toaster-announcement/#respond

People on reddit are also making fun about this. And top comment is about how bad the support for RP1 is :slightly_sad: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/bjz8sm/every_time_man/

The ATT Razer 2 phone just got Pie 9 on April 4th. Razer would most likely want to get Pie to all of its second generation devices before working on its first generation devices, in my opinion. The first generation was updated about 8 months from release and the second about 5 months. I would say the update release times are similar. Before making any judgement, we need to wait longer. I have a first gen and want Pie too by the way. Support wise, Razer seems like they contract it out or something. I got a bit of a run around trying to get a defective device replaced. Took forever to figure out who I should talk to about my replacement status.

Its not even about Pie, its about the whole update fiasco. We purchased a flag ship phone by an established brand and get outdated updates every two lightyears

exactly and I would at least like to see pie and then push up the monthly Android security updates at the very least

To call the Razer flagship sounds a bit off to me. It is more upper mid-range for it's price point, compared to the Samsung Galaxy line and other well-known brands which cost a whole lot more upon release. I kind of expected this issue going into my purchase, but I agree that Razer should have better support. They are a hardware company after all.

When it was released in 2017 the price was very much top-tier tbh, especially among operators. No updates after the first 9 months is an utterly inexcusable situation. It doesn't matter if they're working on delivering Pie (a year late) to RP2 customers, or if they've not got the staff - this is their failure and they've not even addressed it.

No debate on the failure part. I only hope the chat with the head of Razer really was telling the truth.
