Three users finally have the July patch update!
I've been on the July patch for over a month. It's time we get latest security patch and Pie.

T-Mobile North America.
I read it as a joke, too. Forgot Three is the name of a UK carrier, lol.
When will we get this

When it's ready ;)

Also, wrong place.
Ok i wish we got more updates
I did big mistake purchasing this phone. Really regret now. Lots of negative points that overweight positive ones unfortunately
What's the negative points that make it a big mistake? Other than screen wash out in bright sunlight and camera app being good but not great(which there's a new gcam solution for), I see no major flaws. I'm willing to forgive both consider stock camera app not bad but again a better solution is available and the screen was known but worth it for the buttery smoothness.
It's a week into January now, anyone head anything about the pie update? Or any updates at all for the RP1? We're still sitting on last July's security patch.. Razer is really dropping the ball on updates, which sux cause I LOVE this phone!
the support of this phone is pathetic, July security patch is a complete joke and firmware bugs are ruining a good phone.
What firmware bugs? I've had a few issues but they are few and far between.. Over all, besides the slow update releases, I've found this to be a good solid phone, and I'm quite pleased I got this to replace my 6p, it's a worthy sucessor
Can we keep this thread about the Pie update only? There are plenty of other places to complain about the pace of security updates and bug fixes.

Aren't they supposed to update the security patch and fix some bugs with Android P?? All of that is connected.
Updating a phone's Android version is way more work than merging in a few security patches.

Getting a more recent security patch level and getting Pie are both software updates from the user's perspective, but from the development point of view they're completely different processes.

(Not saying Razer shouldn't be issuing security updates while they also work on Pie—I wish they would, too. But this thread is about the Pie update.)
This is why I didn't upgrade to phone 2, updates to far apart. I would have skipped buying pixel 3 xl. But Razer's fragmentation is too great, more than 2 mo is too long. Among other brands. Had high hopes for Razer. I would have bought phone 2 and phone 2 is on Oreo.
It's it's radio silence from Razer on mobile support... No dates or ETA
Well the RP3 will he required to release NLT three monthlies per year lest they get booted off Play Store.

OG Razer and 2 have Treble support too, so it's a struggle to avoid frustration especially when OS news isn't offered by their development team.
Just picked up the original razer phinp tidat. Really disappointed to see that the last update was in July. I'm not sure I would have grabbed it if I had known. Feels like a software downgrade.
Well folks, I checked for updates today. No Pie.

I will be excited if there is a security update, not Pie only.

Shocking that there would be no update available when no update was announced. /s
