Android 9 theme issues

I explained of Reddit to the user but for others this is why. It's not an issue but more of an upgrade on features but with a downside of they can't change the icon. In Oreo 8.1 Razer used the AOSP dialer which they could theme how they wanted. however in 9.0 Razer now use the Google dialer. The Google dialer has more functions but they aren't allowed to theme it.

I don't think it's about Google dialer as another user said that his phone icon is fine but he got same problem with camera icon. Are you telling me that is about Google dialer aren't allowed to theme the camera icon now?

The Razer theme store applies themes to everything about an app and not just the icon and Google doesn't allow any theming on their app so support for dialer theming was removed in pie. You can however download icon packs from the play store and apply those since all they change is the icon (which is allowed) As for the camera icon it does change when a theme is applied which your screenshot shows (it's changing for me) so probably another issue the other user is having.
