Chroma app notifications | Razer Insider

Hi all!

A couple of days ago I got my hands on Razer Phone 2, and I am delighted with it so far. But one thing is itching me: no option to set color of Razer's logo different per application.

I looked over the internet, and found in Chroma's FAQ that this is not possible. After that, I also found some unofficial application (Logo+) which enables that, but it isn't listed in Google Play store, so I am not sure if I want to download it.

I would definitely like to have something like this: the logo doesn't need to light in the native color of each app, but it would be nice if the user could set in which color should the logo light for each individual app. So from the look of the logo I can find out which app is the source of the notification.

Is this possible to implement without much hassle?
Unfortunately not possible no.

The logo+ app you mentioned can't be used unless you root your device but I will admit the functionality of that users app is really good and I've passed it on before in feedback so hopefully someone notices.

But as it stands at the moment unless you want to root your device you're stuck with how it works.
Thank you for your response.

It would be great news if something like this would be somewhere alongside the roadmap of further developing the application. If nothing else, please employ the guy who made Logo+ :big_grin_:

One more thing that crossed my mind: since the notifications are shown on the back of the phone, I usually place my phone with the display bottom on the table. The problem is when I receive a call, the sound is quiet because the speakers are on the front side of the phone (along with the display, which is in this case facing the table).

This could be fixed easily with the Chroma app: when phone receives the call, make a notification through Razer's logo.

EDIT: It would be nice to have a notification regarding the charging status, too. When charging and below 20% - logo turns red, between 20% and 90% - logo is yellow and when more than 90% it's green.

Something like this I had on my last Huawei phone, and it makes life simpler just because you can pass by your phone and see the status of charging. You don't have to unlock your phone to check if it has been charged up.
@shmekermeister I'd ask you if you have anything else to do urgently, if not, start coding lol. And it does sound good what you're suggesting.
We need also sound visualizer on the logo and I know someone who made audio visualizer works on virtual keyboard both on iOS and Android. Yes I’m talking about you @njbmartin.

Thx for kind words! :smile_:

Razer Phone 2 is a beast of a phone, with the Chroma app as a cherry on the top. So it would be a shame not to expand it's potential to the maximum.
Sorry to bother you guys, but any of you know how to solve the issue of my razer chroma blackwidow keyboard not being detected by razer synapse?

Man you got it right. I just got my phone 2 and the first thing I tried to was setup the lights. Real bummer. I used to use the one plus 2 and I could set the led lights to whatever I want according to any action. Missing that a lot.
