After reading all of these posts i am glad i ignored this update...

Phone is working fine right now - why risk breaking it with an unnecessary update...

Unfortunately other codec support isn't supported so far that's why it keeps going back.

Hopefully it's something Razer will look at.

It's 2020 who still use SBC codec for audio. Shame I would not buy RP3 as I know Razer doesn't have the know-how to make a proper phone.
I just replaced my RP2 with a Oneplus 8 Pro - its simply outstanding!

Didn't even bother applying this update for my RP2 given all the bad feedback here...

I have a Razer Junglecat for the RP2 - not sure what to buy for my OnePlus in terms of gamepad - really want the Razer Kishi but it seems to be taking ages to come out....does anyone actually know when its coming out...?

IF its coming out lol?

You should apply the update. It's basically a Google Security Patch for the phone. No new feature just makes the phone a little bit more secure, as you are a mobile gamer it becomes important. A lot of malware spread via pretending to be a gaming app.
