microSD - Amount Error

icepick314
I have SanDisk 1TB microSD card installed (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P9W5HJV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and Razer 2 phone reportsthere are 2TB of storage in the card with 1.00TB used.

Should I be worried or is this just a bug?

Looks like a small glitch, can you try clearing the cache, remove the SD card and re-insert it, reboot the phone and check if it shows the capacity correctly ?

Clearing cache on microSD card, ejecting, reinserting, and rebooting didn't correct drive capacity.

Can you insert the SD CARD to another device (phone/tablet/computer) to confirm it's showing the correct capacity?

Or else, take backup of the SD card on your computer and reformat it.

And check again.

I have used a number of cards (brand, model and size) in this phone and some report accurately and some report double.
Currently using a:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G3JCG8Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
and it is reporting correctly.
I always format for internal use and format on the device.

Could never pin down a cause but did see it existed on other devices too, so it's just not a Razer Phone anomaly.

I already formatted to use it as internal storage and formatted on the phone so I can't look it on PC or another tablet.

When I first inserted and tried to use it as internal storage, it gave me wrong capacity so I thought it was an error. So I reformatted and started all over and this is second time I'm using it as internal storage and still giving me wrong capacity.

I understand what you mentioned, but what i am asking you is to test it on another mobile device to see if it shows the correct capacity or not. In that way you will be able to figure out the root cause (phone or card). Like what @MrRaptor63 also mentioned above.

not without redoing everything again from the beginning and I don't want to go through that again...

now when I do connect the phone to PC via USB cable and set the preference to file transfer, phone shows up as 937GB drive...

My current experience is that using a MicroSD card only works for a few months anyways and then it will mysteriously go corrupt and become inaccessible and you will lose everything on it and all apps that had stuff on it will quit working. I'd recommend not using a micoSD card as internal storage, it may take a few months but you will eventually regret it.
