I know people wouldve discussed this already but I do hope Razer makes the 3rd iteration. IMO the Razer Phone 2 was brilliant and way ahead of its time. The specs are only just now caught up by the rest of the industry. Even the Asus Rog Phone 5 still don't have QI charging. If Razer released the next phone with these improvements over v2 then I see no reason for it to fail:
  • update of hardware to latest chipset
  • move wireless charging to center of phone
  • add in additional buttons for gaming
  • support latest android
  • bigger battery capacity
  • (optional) camera upgrade
Even with these incremental upgrades I would buy it in a snap. Unless ofcourse it costs US$1000+. Maybe sacrifice some things like build material and not using latest glass etc as long as its visually looking good as they are more for marketing than anything. Any thoughts? Maybe we should start a petition. Not many gaming phones out there that have all the conditions as razer.

    A gaming phone will always remain a niche, the cost will then be too high for most people

    My comments on your bullets:
    • update of hardware to latest chipset - yes
    • move wireless charging to center of phone - if possible, yes
    • add in additional buttons for gaming - nope for me - I like it with casual design
    • support latest android - yes
    • bigger battery capacity - yes
    • (optional) camera upgrade - yes
    And additionally, but most important, make a bigger software team for Razer Phone. People who will develop new things and maintain existing apps. But to be hones, I think this are just our wet dreams. Razer quit the game on mobile phones (Razer Phone) by abandoning all the development and peripherals that were made specially for it.

    I like the Razer Phone 2 design... Maybe just a bigger screen size
