Razer 2 phone how do you get the two split screens to work simultaneously

Am playing pokemon go and although I get the screen up and running fine on android pie they don't work at the same time. one screen stops when you use the other. Any tips on how to enable simultaneous play?

    This is a limitation in the Android OS and there's no way around it I'm afraid.
