Should the Razer Phone 3 wait for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865?

Do you guys think that Razer should wait until the Snapdragon 865 comes out before releasing the Razer Phone 3? From what I can tell, one of the problems with the Razer Phone lineup is that they are released during the end of the year when the current processor is about to be replaced by the new one so the hardware in it becomes outdated in around 3 months. Another problem is that releasing the phone in Q4 means competition with the Apple iPhone and Google Pixel phones. Apple fans will stay with Apple while Google Pixel has the latest Android software and timely updates to justify the late release date.

Releasing the Razer Phone 3 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ late in the year also appears to be a bit late since the Asus ROG Phone II just came out and those wanting to buy a gaming phone are likely to have already bought this phone before the Razer Phone 3 will come out. From what I remember, somebody from Razer mentioned mobile gaming to be hindered by software and not hardware but the Asus ROG Phone II apparently proved that there can be a lot of improvements on the hardware side of gaming phones so I believe that the Razer Phone 3 will be outclassed if its only improvements are on the software side of things. Also, the Asus ROG Phone II has a headphone jack and adopted stock Android OS.

I think that the next Razer Phone should come out in early 2020 to take advantage of the new processor and the 5G improvements. This way Razer can be ahead of its competitors. Why buy an Asus ROG Phone III when you already bought a Razer Phone 3 earlier in the year?

If only Razer enabled LDAC and AptX bluetooth codecs in Pie... I would be a happy man; would forget about missing videocalls (ViLTE). I had both in LG G6, still missing it for the two features...
And the 2x camera bisbehaving when switched to 16:9 frame.

there are LDAC and aptX codecs (on the Razer Phone 2). You can force their settings in the developer options if they don't trigger automaticly. But don't forget that their need to be two devices to let them work 🙂

those hi quality codecs under the developer options are just place holder and those codecs are not available in RP2.Razer does not have aptx licence which requires a fee to quallcom. they also did not enrolled in LDAC certification program. it will default automatically to sbc.untill next update only bluetooth codec supported by RP2 is SBC which is useless.almost as useless as the information that you provided.
Oh, i'm sorry for not testing my mentionend options. I thought they where accessible.

But hey, no reason to get salty.
As i saw that you dreamed about the most useless function (videocalls) on a razer phone and were not able to download something like skype i thought you were just a kid 😃. Have you noticed that Google Duo could help you and that it is allready installed?

I am not sure what you expect from bluetooth, but just the idea to use it for (quallity) music instead of a cable is in most cases just stupid. And only this option will not make your little bluetooth box into a concert hall.
But.. what is with your music file, is it really a lossless high quallity file? I am sure it is not because if it were such a file you had a real sound system which noone would use with bluetooth.

Bluetooth is not made for music, it is made to be able to transfer data wireless.

You realize that Skype is a 3rd party disclosure and EULA, kid? To minimize your trust service (and keep data privacy breaches to minimum), always demand native solutions. Like ViLTE. Also, how do you call SIP video conferences with Skype and OTT I wonder? I do not need Google or Microsoft or MOSSAD or KGB where I can do with only my cellular provider.

On the TIDAL HiFi music via LDAC and SONY MDR-1000X, i prefer to discuss the taste of mussels with those who tried them. A guy at work who thinked like you quickly changed his mind once I let him take a listen.
RP2 is not made for music (yet?) - not high-quality Bluetooth codecs I have enjoyed before RP2.

Oh Mr. IT Expert, this is of course a reason that you get watched by organisations they don't care of you. But yes, all of them selling your data for hobby analyst just to get money.
Have you ever thought about the basic android aystem? it comes from google. After you have installed the GApps (which are installed on all non-cracked android systems) they start analyzing everything you do. Google don't need more than theese apps which means if you were really interessted in hiding your life for america you should install a custom OS and stop using the Google Play Store.

Back to bluetooth. Have you ever wondered that it opereates wireless which means that it needs some kind of radio waves? There are many people who think that every kind of radio waves could be harmful to a body.
This is something you should think about instead of thinking that anybody cares your life.
