CCNA online? | Razer Insider
Hi guys, You got to love my job , First day at work , received an overly spec-ed Razer Blade 15. And it's a networking job. ( cannot disclose the companyo_O ), Anyways I am beginning to love it , both the job and laptop. So i am thinking our advancing on in the Network career path. So any recommendations for a Uni or college to follow CCNA Online? Are there live courses ? udemy is probably pre recorded right. so the engagement is low when it comes to difficult parts.

Let me know if there is any.

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

I saw you looking around for the same thing in few other forums as well. The people there might be able to give you better advise depending on your location if you prefer to have class.

Keep gaming on the that Razer Blade while on your job before the network went down!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:
Hi xCryptik,

Hahaha, i think people from different forum may have valid points and recommendations for these types of online courses. so i went and asked around networking related forum :wink_:. I think i got banned from one or two :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye_:.

Because of the Blade i thought of signing up to the forum , just in case you never know when you need help. so wanted to see if anyone had any idea on CCNA. Thanks for the head up about gaming on the laptop :big_grin_:

Anyway it's good to put the word out so if someone stumbles upon this post who has done ccna or is in networking then might help out :cool_:

Thanks again for the reply xCryptik

Hello, before getting into CCNA online/class courses. It actually depends on the location for classroom/real time interactive training. As for the online training, Udemy is really a good platform https://www.udemy.com/topic/cisco-ccna/

and also Cybrary https://www.cybrary.it/course/cisco-ccna/

In the Cybrary you can create your own labs for the practicals, which helps a lot. I use both simultaneously for the training.

Even linkedin learning has got some stuff on it, though it's not free as you will have to enroll for the premium membership first to use it.

A combination of Cybrary and Udemy has helped me Professional a lot.
Hello JR0nin, First of all I like to thank you very much for this detailed information. And for providing very useful links. Yes you are correct , if it is live an interactive i will have to think about the location and time. I am from London, UK ( I be heading there soon ).

Cybrary seem to be a very interesting place to start off I cannot thank you enough this will be helpful for me and anyone looking to start off their career in Networking and since it is free. Yes it would be best to combine the udemy courses and cybrary. But there is a little concern. Will they be certified. I mean could i brag about it in my CV. will it add weight to it?. anyway I will definitely go through them

Thanks agian JR0nin :wink_:

Hey you are most welcome, happy to help out. You can always check out local training centers in London UK.

The Cybrary/Udemy certifications are good to show that you've completed the courses online and that you are prepared to get into the IT networking scenes, but it'll never replace the official CCNA certification from CISCO.

So practice and get the online certifications add it to your CV and get the CISCO certification post that it will give you a big boost for sure (my experience). And yes you can add it to your CV, because the Cybrary/udemy/linkedin online courses do add value.

Best of luck mate, cheers! :smile_:
+1 for Cybrary.

Also check packetlife.net for "cheat sheets" - useful when starting with Cisco IOS for the 1st time 🙂 https://packetlife.net/library/cheat-sheets/
