Cortex won't launch games any more

I’ve used Cortex to launch games, but a while back it just stopped working.  I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled, but that didn’t help.  Any idea as to what I can do next?

 

I’ve also had issues with Synapse where it caused lagging on my computer so I uninstalled it, but this is getting annoying.
