Hello Razer Support,
I would like to report a reproducible bug in Razer Axon.
System
Laptop: Acer Predator Helios 18 (PH18-71)
Windows 11 Pro
Intel Core i9-13900HX
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU
NVIDIA Game Ready Driver 610.74
Razer Axon 2.8.1.0
Razer Cortex 11.10.0.12
Issue When GPU Mode is set to Auto Select / Optimus, launching any game that uses the RTX 4080 causes Razer Axon wallpaper to stop working after the game exits.
Instead of restoring the Axon wallpaper, Windows switches back to the normal static wallpaper.
Razer Axon is still running in the background, but the wallpaper is not restored automatically.
The only way to restore it is to open the Axon Library and select the same wallpaper again.
Troubleshooting performed
Reinstalled Razer Axon
Reinstalled NVIDIA Driver
Switched between WebView2 and Windows Media Foundation
Disabled Cortex Game Boost
Ran Axon as Administrator
Restarted the graphics driver (Win + Ctrl + Shift + B)
None of these steps resolved the issue.
Important finding
When GPU Mode is changed to NVIDIA GPU Only (Discrete GPU) in PredatorSense, the issue disappears completely.
This strongly suggests that the problem is related to Optimus GPU switching and how Razer Axon restores wallpapers after a game exits.
I hope this issue can be investigated and fixed in a future update.
Thank you.
