Yeah, I think he might have made this because the Ornata is not supported with that other program (at least it is not for me), it seems like that program is abandoned now.

I would like to know how to use this software.
Just download the installer "RazerAmbilightSetup.msi" from
here, install it and you should be able to run the program from the corresponding desktop icon. Make sure, you have Razer Synapse open and chroma apps enabled.

I have one sticked behind my monitor and I'd like to have it for movies or games.

You can right click the icon in the notification area on the taskbar and select "change tickrate". You can then manually modify the rate, at which the effect should be updated. A higher update rate means less cpu load.

Added the ability to change the color saturation with a slider. Just install the new version from
here and the option can be found by right-clicking the notification tray icon. ^^

In fact, your software copy all the screen, but it should be the extension of the screen, just the down of the screen must be copied to get a full ambilight effect
In theory, you're right. If you take it exactly the term Ambilight is not suitable for my program. However, the effect is what I wanted it to be. If you like I could try to implement a real Ambilight mode. ^^

Probably the best update so far.. been thinking between razer nommo chroma or logitech g560 speaker (due to it's ambient lighting).. with this I might just go for razer HDK + nommo chroma

Its called Razer Ambilight. It already exist. Ambilight is lighting say behind like a screen that changes colors depending on what is on the screen, so I guess it looks like its coming to get you. I wouldn't know I'm still rocking the Blackwidow ultimate 2016 edition green green and more green. It might be op in a grass simulator though
Nicely Done. For a minute there it appeared to be working on my all my other gear too, but then they dropped back to my default settings.
Is there already such a program? Oops, my mistake, I probably didn't find it when I was looking for it ^^. As for the installer, I forgot to set it to English. Just download it again, and it should be in English now.

Forget my last post. After several installs and uninstalls, checking everything, trying everything, I finally got it to work.(at least 4 times) I feel this is more of a Synapse problem than anything else. Keep up the good work man!

I've looked into it further, but I'm sorry to disappoint you. Currently there is no way for me to control the HDK with the Colore Chroma SDK wrapper in C#. So there is no way for me to control the HDK with code.
The same seems to apply to the Razer Goliathus, for which there seems to be no implementation in the SDK.

Wonderful program you've made, Its exactly what I've been looking for. However, my razer firefly seems to freeze after some time running the program, and won't reset unless and I unplug the device. The keyboard works fine, it is only the mousemat that seems to freeze.
