[Cortex PC] Razer Cortex Handheld Mode BETA

oh yeah, this rocks.

Runs Great on my RoG Ally.

I really don’t see much practicality in launching console mode. Though it is fun to use and fiddle with, you really don’t want to open a whole new app to launch your games and boost performance, especially because most people that own a console will have a mouse (just like me) and you can just use the desktop app, apart from that, if happens to be running in the background, it can just auto-boost your performance.

One thing I can never criticize about Console mode and Cortex app in general is the ease of use. Bored with one game, you can switch right over because your library is right there.

For the people who might use console mode regularly something I think would be cool to add to console mode is access to view and access other Cortex Menus like Add-Ons, Rewards, Deals etc. Also a lot of the times when you want to launch a particular favorite game, it would be nice if you can press a particular button to launch it to skip browsing through your library. Other shortcuts like this would be cool too if implemented

Cortex is one of the key elements of my desktop. Without it i would not be able to get the smooth FPS in my games as it helps me free RAM!

I haven’t tried Console Mode yet, but I’m looking forward to checking it out! Currently, I’m using the Razer Basilisk V3 mouse.

Woah this is coool. i can now make some use of my xbox one controller lol. i rearly use it when i play games like minecraft.

Love to try and own.  

It works perfectly, even if a key on the controller to go on the game and return to the menu would be great, like an ALT + TAB, although I think that on the controller you can configure a macro for.
it’s fluid and especially allows to use his PC with his controller, now I can play from my bed,

Its actually really nice. I personally wasn’t expecting too much, but I actually enjoyed a lot, it’s smooth and surprisingly compatible with a lot of my favourite games. If your thinking about buying one of these controllers I would really recommend it!

• How’s your experience with Console Mode? 

Great! will be using from TV instead of Steam’s equivalent.

• Which handheld device are you using? 

I would use this on TV from PC via HDMI thru an AV receiver to get a console experience with 5.1 surround speakers, controllers and all. Good stuff.

• How’s your experience with Console Mode?

• Good so far, runs well, for comparison very sleek and nice like steam big picture mode. Great optimization too, some tips; you don’t have to release the memory every time someone closes their game, if they close the cortex app it should release the memory then, it ruins the sleek and modern design when you have to wait minutes between games with a ui saying releasing memory. Sometimes the  in game overlay would glitch while playing some games, other games would be fine, not sure why

I used to be a console kid all day and do nothing but play but I eventually got a laptop and haven’t really gotten to use my console in awhile. PC is great and all but it never really had that console feel which console mode has really brought back to my life. Only thing better would be a razer controller to go with it
