Frustrated with Razer Cortex – Moving On to Better Alternatives | Razer Insider

Dear Razer Insiders,

I am writing this letter to express my deep frustration with the Razer Cortex app. While I’ll admit that the app occasionally lives up to its promise and boosts the FPS in my games, particularly in Roblox where I used it the most, the negatives far outweigh this single benefit.

Here’s the issue: every time I close Roblox, the so-called “acceleration” feature kicks in, claiming that it has restored 6-8 items. Sounds great in theory, right? Except for the fact that this action consistently freezes my laptop. I can’t even open Task Manager to troubleshoot because both my processor and RAM get completely frozen. This is not a one-off occurrence; it happens every single time, making the app more of a liability than an asset.

I’ve tried to remain patient and give the app the benefit of the doubt, but this recurring problem has made it clear that Razer Cortex is unreliable and downright useless in this regard. Instead of improving my gaming experience, it actively ruins it by forcing me to restart my laptop every time this happens.

I’ve had enough. After weighing the pros and cons (with far more cons than pros), I’ve decided to move on to another app that is more reliable and consistent. I can’t justify sticking with software that causes more problems than it solves.

Razer, if you truly value your community, I urge you to take a hard look at the performance and reliability of Razer Cortex. Fix these glaring issues before you lose even more users like me.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am deeply disappointed in the lack of response to my previous complaint. Your support system is utterly inadequate and has left me feeling ignored and undervalued as a customer.

It’s unacceptable that I’ve received no acknowledgment or resolution despite reaching out. This level of service is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful to those who rely on your platform.

I expect immediate action on this matter. Failure to address this issue promptly will leave me with no choice but to escalate further.
