Does Razer gaming software really help gaming? Thanks

It doesn't boost anything but instead frees up RAM and CPU power by killing off processes and applications when you game. If you have a system that is already pretty powerful you will see no benefit and occasionally it will cause issues when gaming too.

It's doing worse. It's increasing GPU load. On my GTX 1080Ti from avg 65% usage on UE4 games it hits 100% with Cortex turned on.

If it’s on gaming higher % usage is better.

You don't know nothing. GPU usage is meaning how much of it's computing power is used by the game. If you do not change any settings in the game the usage shouldn't change much. And if I do not change anything in the game settings and have no higher FPS with the Cortex on than for what is the extra 30% computing power used? Definitely not for game performance as the FPS is not changing at all and I have no frame lock nor V-sync on.
If I was getting 130 FPS in the game while Cortex was off, than I should get extra 30% FPS with Cortex on. If it's increasing the GPU usage by that number so I should get around 180 FPS.

You’re the one who know nothing, gpu usage means how efficient your gpu on gaming mean if you’re 70% you’re not using potential gpu performance. My gpu usage on gaming always high 90ish%, ideally 99 to 100% look at other users gpu gaming usage!
GPU usage entirely depends what is being asked of it. Plenty of games do not tax my 1080Ti at 100% because I limit my frame rate to either 144 or 165 fps. I get what you guys are saying but that does not take away the fact Cortex is buggy as hell at times. At one point when the program would run in the background it would kill my performance when I tried to play Overwatch by limiting me to 30ish FPS. Sometimes the game would just open to black screen if Cortex was running in the background as well. Ever since that mess I deleted the program and see no reason to reinstall it. Unless you have PC that is REALLY struggling performance wise just avoid Cortex IMO.
One of the best things it does is close programs that could conflict with gaming. For example, when I have VPN activated and host a P2P game, the others get awful FPS. I simply turn off stuff like that.
