While trying to resolve issues with my game, I attempted to open it but instead Razer Cortex launched. Since it was causing severe lag in Geometry Dash, I wanted to close it and launch the game again. However, after closing Razer Cortex, my Steam behaved abnormally and kept closing when I tried to launch the game. I tried various solutions, including reinstalling Cortex, but nothing worked. My PC is also new, so I am unsure why this is happening.

Regarding the lag issue, please follow the below steps to resolve it on your side:
- Toggle off the "CUSTOM DISPLAY" option in Razer Cortex LAUNCHER > IN GAME.
- If the issue persists, please deselect "Enable CPU Core", under "Specials" in "GAME BOOSTER" > "BOOST".
- If this issue persists, please disable "Auto Boost" in GAME BOOSTER > BOOST > Auto-Boost.
- If this issue persists, please disable all FPS-related features in LAUNCHER > IN GAME.
If this issue persists, could you provide us with your Razer Cortex logs via pm?
Regarding the second issue, could you check whether you turn on the features in LAUNCHER > PLATFORMS.

I am also facing the same issue. I will try it as you explained and if I face any problem, I will message you. :)
I had this issue too and found turning of in game custom display fixed it immediately which is strange cause it’s only affected geometry dash so far
