Can I safely game on my Blade 15 Base 2020 (RZ09-0328) while only being plugged in via thunderbolt dock?

RetroMade

Recently I’ve been looking into getting a dock for my Blade 15 purely because I want to minimize the amount of wires hanging off my laptop,  my question is can plugging it through the thunderbolt 3 port via a dock be sufficient enough to power my laptop during gaming without damaging it? or will i have to keep it plugged in via its original powerbrick.

I’ve looked online and it apparently it might cause some damage to the battery if i were to hit my laptop with a heavy load while gaming while only being powered through a thunderbolt 3 dock, something about the 100watts not enough to power the system entirely and it needing to draw from the battery aswell.

I just wanted to ask before making a decision since i recently bought this laptop and I don’t want it to be damaged because of a uninformed decision i make.

My Blade 15 is the 2020 base model (RZ09-03286E22)
