2019 Razer Blade 15 Advanced - Battery Bulge? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hey there,

I've been using my Blade for work and home for almost two years now and noticed that when I close the laptop, it doesn't fully close. I've noticed that it's due to a bulge near the spacebar and a couple quick searches later it seems fairly obvious that it's a battery bulge issue. I don't own a Torx head screwdriver set (but ordered one today!) but I assume I'll need to open the case to determine what the issue is, and possibly remove the battery?

Is it safe to close it back up and use without a battery? I rarely use it unplugged, and it's usually docked in both at home and work, so I could do fine without for awhile. What are my options as far as replacing a battery? I'm also not sure what my warranty status is, but I assume I'm out of warranty.

I definitely appreciate any help! Lastly, are there any tips to avoid having this happen in the future? First time I've ever had this issue in a laptop. (Though this is by far the most powerful laptop I've ever owned)

Thanks in advance!
