Hi all,
I'm running into an issue with my 2019 Razer Blade 15 (GTX 1660 Ti model). The laptop comes with a 144Hz internal display, but I’m only seeing 60.03 Hz and 48 Hz as available refresh rate options in Windows. I’m trying to enable 144Hz, but nothing seems to work.
Here's what I've tried so far:
-
Reinstalled all major drivers: NVIDIA, Intel, chipset, and others from Razer's official support page
-
Installed Razer Synapse — only 60 Hz and 48 Hz are shown in display settings
-
In both NVIDIA Control Panel and Intel Graphics Command Center, there are no options to change resolution or refresh rate for the internal display
-
Tried setting the global preferred GPU to High-performance NVIDIA processor in NVIDIA Control Panel, but it has no effect. I’ve read that as of Windows 10 20H1, Windows overrides this setting
-
Added a 144Hz mode using CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) through both the extension block and base block
-
Used both CVT-RB and manual timings
-
Windows shows the custom mode but labels it incorrectly (e.g., 59.97 Hz), and it doesn’t behave like a 144Hz option
-
-
Exported and reviewed the EDID — only 60.03 Hz and 48 Hz modes are present
Additional context:
-
This model does NOT have NVIDIA Optimus — no MUX switch, no GPU switch in BIOS or Synapse
-
The NVIDIA GPU activates properly during gaming
Any suggestions, shared experiences, or even modified driver help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
