2019 Razerblade 15 Spark/Reboot/FPS problems | Razer Insider

Hey everyone, I have a 2019 razer blade 15. Specs as follows:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz

Memory: 32 GB (upgraded)

Current resolution: 1920x1080

GPU driver version: 27.21.14.5730

OS: Microsoft Windows 10 home

I was playing COD Warzone a few days ago like I normally do and noticed that my laptop randomly shut down during gameplay. What threw me off was that I noticed some sparks and flashing from beneath the H/J key region. It was only for a split second then stopped. No issues with the power bank/cord. I turned the laptop back on and it seems to work fine. It recognizes the charger and will charge to 100% battery.

My problem now is that when I start up Warzone I have a new lower baseline FPS in the 30-40s range at the home screen, which is usually 90-120. The game is now essentially unplayable with frequent FPS drops to 5-10. (previously sitting comfortably in the low 90s during gameplay, maybe dips to 70s during a lot of action). Many times I cannot join a game as the game will freeze at the loading screen prior to the match beginning.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game, reinstalled drivers, made sure my GPU settings were appropriate. Made sure that my laptop was plugged into the power bank while trying to play the game. You name it, I've done it at this point which is why I'm reaching out. The way the FPS drops and the game plays... it reminds me of trying to play while I was disconnected from the charger... but again... I have only tried playing with the laptop plugged in. Some people mentioned this could be thermal throttling... but I find this odd that it only began happening after the laptop crashed and I witnessed those sparks from the H/J key region.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or something similar? Or if you have any other ideas as to how to resolve this issue I'd greatly appreciate it.
