2020 Razer Blade 15 (Base) - XMP profile enabler not showing in BIOS | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello,

I have a 2020 Razer Blade 15 Base, and I just got a 32gb G.Skill Ripjaws kit to upgrade my system (Model F4-3200C18D-32GRS) - the same ones that many people have had great success with. I put them in the system, and they work appropriately, but they are operating at 2933mhz. I've gone into the BIOS many times, and the memory profile options do not even show in the "Advanced" tab. I've pulled the small battery to reset the BIOS, but that didn't work. My BIOS version is 1.03, as it came out of the box. CPU-Z even states that the SPD ext. is XMP 2.0.

I don't know what else to try other than exchanging the RAM, but I have a strong feeling it isn't the RAM causing the problem and is something with my system. I just don't know what else to try and I'm at a complete loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey there! Was everything covered? Do the XMP options show while using the original memory module? Have you contacted our Support Team by submitting a case? Feel free to send me a PM together with your device's serial number should you need additional assistance.

I think I covered everything there. I did not see any XMP options with the original Samsung RAM installed, even those they are rated for 3200mhz, but they don't have a XMP profile. I had talked to a chat support representative initially, but I didn't have all the facts yet. Since then, I have run a complete memtest86 evaluation on the G.Skill RAM in my system right now, and came up with no errors at all. So there doesn't seem to be an issue with the RAM, but rather the computer's perception of it. I don't know what else to try at this point. I'd reflash the BIOS if that was an option, but I cannot. My system shipped with 1.03 already on board. According to msinfo32, this 1.03 has a build date of 5/6/2020, whereas the BIOS wasn't listed on the support page until 6/26/2020. I suppose that version could still have the same build date, but I just wanted to throw that out there since I'm grasping at straws here.

Thanks for the follow-up. Using the original RAM does show an XMP profile, is that correct? Please send me your email address, device's serial number and case number via PM so I can check its updates. Let's continue from there.
