2023 Blade 14 shuts off a few minutes on battery. It blue screens and shows WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (0x124)

RZ09-0482XEH3

Does not happen when plugged in with the provided power brick. It does sometimes happen when charging via USB.

All FW and drivers are up to date.

I saw this issue on other threads here but they were closed.

Hi jonlukin,

I’m here to help! I understand that you’re dealing with this on your Razer Blade 14 (2023). Since the system only seems to shut down or blue screen while on battery, and appears stable when using the included power adapter, I’d like to gather a few more details so I can document this properly. Could you please confirm the following:

  • When did the issue first start, and did it begin after any update, driver change, BIOS/firmware update, or hardware change?
  • Does the shutdown happen every time the device is running on battery, or only when the charge drops to a certain percentage?
  • Approximately what battery level is the system at when the blue screen happens?
  • Aside from the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (0x124), have you noticed any other stop codes or error messages?
  • Does the issue also happen in BIOS, during startup, or only after logging into Windows?
  • When charging through USB, are you using a Razer USB-C charger or a third-party charger/dock? Please share the wattage as well.
  • Have you tested the device in Safe Mode or after a clean boot to see if the behavior changes?
  • Are there any signs of battery swelling, unusual heat, or unexpected battery percentage drops?

In the meantime, you may check whether Battery Health Optimizer is enabled, since that can affect charging behavior. If the battery is not charging properly or is not being detected consistently, you can also try reinstalling the battery drivers through Device Manager. Follow the instructions in this support article. If the same problem persist, PM with the following information below so I can initiate a ticket on your behalf:
