7.1 Surround sound not working

I can't get the 7.1 surround option in the 7.1 surround app. When I activate "Enabled surround sound," the sound cuts out intermittently. My headphones are Razer Blackshark V2X. Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone know a solution? I can't use the 7.1 feature on my headphones. I've been getting this error for the last 2-3 months.
