7.1 Surround Sound produces background noise

hi, i just got my razer kraken x today, and ive been enjoying it alot today. i normally use linux but the software is only for windows so i started dualbooting, and i checked 7.1 surround sound out. its pretty neat, and even improves the quality of the mic, but i noticed that while 7.1 improved the mic quality, it also made background noise. i would just switch to the normal headphone output, but the mic quality is significantly worse by using it. i did also try turning off 7.1 but still using the 7.1 output, and the mic quality is still there without the surround but so is the background noise. id like someone to help me out here, ive googled alot but i havent seen anything that helps me. btw sorry if im being dumb here, lol. i really just need help.
