7.1 Surround Sound Stops Working After CPU and RAM Upgrade.

Yesterday I upgraded both my cpu and my ram because they were both struggling. I bought my headphones a month or two ago and set up surround sound and it worked flawlessly. However, after doing the upgrades which included updating my motherboard drivers, I no longer have any audio from that source. The normal audio works perfectly fine. Do I need to just reinstall 7.1 on my computer?
