7.1 V2 Mercury - Adjustment loose

I only bought the headset on the 31st, and I'm noticing how loose the adjustment is specifically for the left side, Is it normally like this or is there a way to tighten it? Its sturdy enough to the point where if you were to hold it in the air, it would stay still But if you were to bring it up and then down gently while it's in the air the adjustment would fall...
