A strange situation with Razer 2 charging.

1) In normal mode (running), my phone does not charge at all. I tried different cables, different chargers 2) When it is turned off, it can take slow charging (overnight from 30% it got to 80%) only with a USB A to USB C cable. It still fails to charge with USB C to C. 3) When it is off and charging (very slowly) the screen splashes the logo, it vibrates in a short burst, and then the whole thing repeats. 4) Plugging it into a laptop does not register on any laptop as Razer 2 or storage. 5) Since it is out of warranty (as I was just informed) I thought I'd root it, and see if there is some software issue. The issue appeared kind of suddenly as I was playing with free VPNs, etc... 6) Without a functioning USB C port, using adb and fastboot from my laptop is not feasible. 7) The recovery menu on this phone has "Apply update from SD card" however. 8) So, I am wondering if I can use that option to do something? Any repair shops fix USB ports for these phones?

    The port definitely needs to be replaced, and there is a good chance that you have a faulty battery as well. Do send me the serial number so I can help you submit a repair ticket. *Thread locked to curb the conversation to PMs.
