Abysmal 3DMark result on brand new Razer Blade Pro 17

The brand new laptop arrived today and I am getting a score of 2533 on 3DMark TimeSpy: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/48371326? That is definitely not what I expected from a $4000 gaming laptop (the most expensive computer I have ever bought by far). Am I doing something wrong, or should I just return it? Help...

    I now believe it is overheating and throttling. I let it rest for a couple of hours and now the benchmark is 4x better: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/48375950? I think I have to return it. It is not acceptable for a gaming laptop to overhead and throttle to 1/4 performance after a few hours of usage.
