Activation Code Issues

Hello, I downloaded 7.1 surround sound and it prompted me to make an account, when it said "Account ID" I thought it meant my activation code. I went along and foolishly used my activation code as my user ID, later found it that it was my username and quickly changed it. Worst mistake ever. I tried using my activation ID and it said it was invalid. I'm not sure if it was already claimed or whatever. If there is a solution to this, please let me know if I can contact support for further help. Thanks.
