activation code not working

I bought a pair of headsets Razer Kraken Pro with 7.1 surround a few years back... well all fine and dandy, today i decided to update the software cause i noticed that there was version 3 available, i updated and tried to put my activation code that for some reason was asked and now it says invalid... soo now im stuck without 7.1 surround. what do i do to fix this?
