After 7.1 app installation my headset mic is no longer detected by my pc | Razer Insider

As a gift I received a Razer Kraken rose quartz headset, everything was working perfectly fine for approximately 2-3 weeks until I decided to install the 7.1 surround app available for this headset. The installation caused that I at first could not hear anything, which I later fixed, but after short while I realized I cannot hear anyone anymore. I tried reinstalling the program, installing razer synapses for detection of the microphone, I even tried reinstalling the driver for audio for my pc. None of it worked.

So here I am, asking for advice since the pc cannot detect the mic nor the headset.
