Any reason I can't install a 2TB M.2 drive in a 2019 Razer Blade? | Razer Insider

Hi, all,

When I bought my Blade last year I upgraded the SSD from 512gb to 1tb. Since drives have dropped in cost again, I bought a PNY M.2 drive with 2tb of storage. However, I've tried mirroring over the contents of my current drive several ways and haven't managed. I actually crashed Ubuntu doing it. I suspect the drive is DOA, but is there anything about the older Blade that would mean it couldn't address a 2tb drive? I can't think of anything, but I figured if anyone would know something I'm missing, it'd be here. Thanks, all.

Does the drive get detected in BIOS? If it is, then it's highly likely not DOA, and it could be that there was an error that occurred when booting the drive. PM me the serial number of your laptop. I can verify it to verify its model and check if it can support 2TB storage. I can also submit a ticket request for a recovery image if necessary.
