Anyone Got a Razer Raptor 165Hz Recognized in Synapse via USB-C Expansion Card?

I'm trying to get my Razer Raptor 165Hz monitor to show up in Razer Synapse (for Chroma integration), but I'm running into a bit of a hurdle.

My motherboard and GPU don’t have native USB-C output, so I’m looking into using a PCIe USB-C expansion card to connect the monitor's USB-C port to the system.

Before I go ahead and buy one, I wanted to ask:

Has anyone successfully gotten the Raptor 165Hz to be recognized in Synapse using a USB-C expansion card (not native USB-C on motherboard or GPU)?

If so:

  • What expansion card did you use?

  • Any driver issues?

  • Did Synapse detect the monitor properly for Chroma features?

Appreciate any insight before I throw money at this. Thanks in advance!
