Are Razer making any definitive statements on the Intel chip instability issues? | Razer Insider

I'm just looking for good reasons to not return a very recently bought Blade 16 (2024). I have the distance buying option of returning it within a certain time frame.

Obviously things are all up in the air still, with a definitive solution still not absolutely confirmed but I'm looking to find out the policy and attitude of Razer as a company in this situation. I understandably have reservations about keeping an Intel based machine, only recently having discovered the seriousness of the problems.

Are any promises being made about resolving RMAs if needed?

Are any recommendations being made about temporary power settings?

What's the worst case scenario if the problem can't be fixed? Everyone gets their machines crippled to 70% capacity and Intel keep paying their shareholders?

Etc, etc.

I don’t think any OEM can make any kind of statement right now. The problem is Intel only recently admitted there was a problem. They also stated that they will not be issuing a recall. Nor have they communicated to their OEM partners if they will accept RMA’s. The only public announcement Intel has made is that they will be delivering the new Microcode to their OEM partners in the middle of August. Intel has also been mum if laptop CPU’s have been affected. OEM’s will take a huge financial beating if Intel does not step up and help them financially. OEM laptop manufactures seldom reball CPU’s only and tend to replace the entire motherboard, that is an enormous expense to take on. I don’t think any OEM laptop manufacture will make a statement unless there are ramped reports of failing laptop CPU’s.
