ARGB controller limit | Razer Insider

I see on the documentation that the controller is limited to how many LEDs
( 6 Addressable RGB headers (up to 80 LEDs per port, 240 total) )

Is this just due to power? If I inject power along the strip as needed (is injecting 5v ok?), is the controller capable of sensing and controlling MANY more LEDs?

Bump please

I’m looking for the same answer… I’ve built a custom desk for my computer room and I want to use the Razer controller to control it all.  The desk is ten feet wide, so I need 90 LED’s just to power the front edge of the desk, then another 18 LED’s down each side.  I’ll also have multiple runs behind the TV and monitors, along with some lighting behind some shelving for my gaming systems.

The light strips I bought have 150 LED’s in a row, and I have an external power supply that can run 5VDC at 60 amps… so injecting power at various locations is not an issue.  The Razer controller is equipped with an over current protection circuit, so even if I messed something up, it’s not likely to damage anything.  (If it did, that’s on me.)

Being able to go into Synapse and telling the controller that you have applied external power to the LED circuits, and all you need is the addressing function to make it work, would be fantastic!

hi, If you want I can help you bypass the controller limits….

Hello.  How can I bypass the controller limits?

Hey! I solved this problem with a 3 to one ARGB adapter. So basically i have 9 fans in my case and i made three groups: Top, side and bottom fans. Every group of three fans is connected to one of the ARGB Controller plugs via an 3 to 1 adapter. works fine so far… Just sometimes there is an issue where the controller only lights up one group of the three… im currently troubleshooting… will try to plug 9 fans to one port of the controtller. maybe this will work.

PLEASE RAZER IMPROVE THIS ARGB CONTROLLER ON THE SW AND THE HW SIDE… u could earn a lot of money if this works better!! LOVE YOU RAZER! <3

Exactly, set the LEDs on the Razer controller port to the maximum, that is 80, so as to have 80 LEDs for each port of the third-party controller.
